Kamusta everyone,
For today's blog I will be sharing you our gummy bear experiments. We went through everything we need to know before doing this experiment, the methods which is the equipment and instructions.
Aim:
I want to find out what happens when gummy bears are put in liquids.
Method:
Equipment:
- Salt water (Sodium Chloride)
- Normal water
- Sugar water (Sucrose)
- Gummy Bears
- 2x Petri dishes
- Marker pen
- Electronic scales
Instructions:
- Get your equipment
- Wear your safety glasses
- With a marker pen, write your name and the conditions (dry, water, salt water, sugar water) and the weight of gummy bear
- Do the experiment
-Result-
Before:
After:
It thicken it size and volume since the water is entering. The gummy bear has little holes inside. There is a water molecules which is smaller, and sugar/salt molecules are bigger. There are much more water molecules (small) that could get inside the hole and less than sugar/salt molecules that could get in because of its size, that's why the water gummy bear is bigger than before.
Thank you for reading my blog, I hope you learnt something new and I'll see you on my next post, goodbye :>
