Making Sherbet (Science)
Kia Ora everyone,
Today is an another blog during science. We are going to learn how to make sherbet.
Aim: I want to find out how to make a Sherbet.
Research: We had to find 2 different videos that are the experiment and science about sherbet.
- Popsicle sticks
- Mini red cup
- Baking Soda
- Citric acid
- Raro (Flavour)
- Paper
- Get your equipment ready.
- In the paper, you will be given a baking soda, citric acid and raro.
- Pour a small amount of each ingredients inside the mini red cup.
- You have to add each ingredients one by one (You can't put them all at once).
- Try to get your mixture right, it depends on you on what you should add more or less. (You can have a taste to check)
- It has to be a little bit bubbly and not too sour.

- Put on a blindfold.
- Put your hand out and pinch your nose.
- Eat the food and guess what it is.
- Release your nose and taste the food.

Kea
Hey readers,
I will be sharing some facts about the bird called Kea. I think this will be the last time that I'll be posting about "Uncle Don knows heaps of wacky stuff" activity book. Today we had to read page 23-28. I used canva to create this poster that I made. This topic was interesting to I tried to find as much information as I can. Here's the poster:

Hot Chilli (Science experiment)
- Hot chilli sauce
- Popsicle sticks
- Drinks - Soda, water, milk
- Timer
- Get your equipment ready.
- Get a drop of hot sauce on your Popsicle stick.
- Lick the hot chilli sauce.
- Start the timer.
- After 2 minutes, drink your drink.
- After 5 minutes, how hot is your mouth?
- Repeat the experiment but with a different drink.
