This post will be about science, the experiment we did last week since I wasn't able to post it. There was a rotten red cabbage since our teacher left it for days. We can make colour by using Acid and Base.
Aim: I want to find out how to change colours by using red cabbage with Acid and Base.
Research:
Method:
Equipment:
- Test tube
- Red cabbage
- Beaker
- Dropper - science
- Test tube rack
- Stirring rod
- Acid and Base
Instructions:
- Get all your equipment ready.
- Get a (rotten) cabbage and put it inside the beaker.
- Add a half of a water inside.
- Use the stirring rod to stir till the colour gets darker.
- Place the test tube in the test tube rack.
- Add red cabbage inside the test tube by using the dropper.
- Use the Acid and Base ( you can add as much as you want to make a colour) inside the test tube with the rotten red cabbage inside.
- Make a colour.
Results:
First of all, the rotten red cabbage did smell but when we added half of a water inside it kinda fade away. At first, it was really fun making those sorts of colours but everyone got competitive when we had to make different colours, a colour that is not the basic. A mixed colour would also count. I feel like we added more Base than Acid.
That's all for today, I hope you enjoy reading and that's all for today, goodbye:))
